WHAT SIZE VAN WILL I GET?
The size of the van is decided by our staff based on a survey of your home. It is our responsibility to get this right. Always use a company with experience and a good reputation to ensure that they will. If a survey has not been carried out, we will use the information that you have provided us with to calculate the size of the van required. As long as you have been honest then it will still be our responsibility to get it right.
CAN I MOVE OVER THE WEEKEND?
We are able to carry out your removal at any time that is convenient to you, different days and times may carry a premium to reflect the extra cost of staff.
IM MOVING IS THERE A CHECKLIST I CAN FOLLOW?

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO MOVE?
The price will depend on a number of factors; for example, the season, the number of bedrooms in the home, the type of premises, the nature of the items, the stairs, steps involved, distance between parking and the main door, and the overall mileage, etc. Contact our friendly and helpful staff who will be more than willing to talk you through the process to assist with a competitive price.
DO YOU UN-PLUMB OR PLUMB WASHING MACHINES?
It is not normal for Uproot Removals to do this. Our teams have the knowledge to disconnect or plumb machines. However, this takes time and will incur additional costs for the delivery. It should also be noted that we will not be held liable for any damages incurred. It is solely customer’s responsibility to inspect all areas upon completion of any plumbing jobs to ensure all parts are safely secured and together (e.g., washing machine’s drainpipe cap is purchased to close where it is being disconnected from or hoses).
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK MY MOVING DATE?
The earlier the better. While we can sometimes accommodate a last-minute booking (usually if there has been a cancellation in the meantime) if you want to guarantee our availability on a given date, we will need between 6- and 8-weeks’ notice.
ARE MY BELONGINGS INSURED THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS?
At Uproot Removals we are fully insured, so your belongings are covered by our policy for the time when they are in our care. Specifically, this means that we will cover accidental damage and loss to any item from when we pick them up to load them on the van, to when we deposit them in your new house. Any damage incurred before or after these times will be down to your contents insurance to cover. You can request a copy of our insurance policy for peace of mind.
DO YOU DISMANTLE AND RE-ASSEMBLE FURNITURE?
Unless this was agreed at the quotation stage, then all items needing dismantling are expected to be dismantled and ready to move prior to our arrival. If agreed at the quotation stage our staff will carry out dismantling and re-assembling to the best of their ability. It is essential that we know what is required at the quotation stage to allow for the necessary resources and equipment to be provided.
